CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities.

The Data Analyst collects, cleans, analyzes, and interprets data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that guide business decisions and improve operations. Key responsibilities include gathering data from various sources, performing statistical analysis, creating visualizations and reports using tools like SQL, Excel, and Tableau, and communicating findings to stakeholders to support strategic goals. The role requires a blend of technical skills, strong analytical thinking, and effective communication to translate complex data into actionable business solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Management: Identify, gather, and manage data from primary and secondary sources, ensuring its accuracy and integrity.
  • Data Cleaning & Preprocessing: Clean raw data by identifying and addressing inconsistencies, missing values, and errors to prepare it for analysis.
  • Data Analysis & Interpretation: Apply statistical techniques and analytical methods to explore datasets, discover trends, find patterns, and derive insights.
  • Data Visualization & Reporting: Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI to present complex findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work with cross-functional teams, understand business requirements, and effectively communicate insights to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Problem Solving: Address specific business challenges by using data to identify underperforming processes, pinpoint areas for growth, and determine optimal strategies.

Required Qualifications

Journeyman

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in database querying languages (e.g., SQL), spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Analytical & Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and draw valid inferences to solve problems and answer business questions.
  • Communication: Excellent skills in presenting technical information to non-technical audiences through clear reports and presentations.
  • Domain Knowledge: Understanding of the specific industry or business area to interpret data effectively in context.

Senior

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 to 10 years of experience
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in database querying languages (e.g., SQL), spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Analytical & Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and draw valid inferences to solve problems and answer business questions.
  • Communication: Excellent skills in presenting technical information to non-technical audiences through clear reports and presentations.
  • Domain Knowledge: Understanding of the specific industry or business area to interpret data effectively in context.

Compensation

CGI is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,000.00 - $200,000.00.
