Job Overview
Blade Construction LLC seeks an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team on a long‑term marine construction project running through 2027. The role primarily involves operating a 700‑class bulldozer, with opportunities to operate 300+ class excavators and marsh buggies. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, physical stamina, and a commitment to job‑site safety and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate 700‑class bulldozers on marine and heavy civil construction sites.
- Operate 300+‑class excavators and marsh buggies when needed.
- Conduct routine inspections and communicate with supervisors and mechanics to maintain equipment performance.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Work under direction from field supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.
- Assist with other labor or equipment‑related tasks when needed.
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional work habits on all job sites.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience operating bulldozers and heavy construction equipment.
- Experience with 700‑class bulldozers is required.
- Experience with 300+‑class excavators or marsh buggies is highly preferred.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must qualify for a TWIC card (company will cover cost if hired).
- NCCCO Crane Operator certification is a plus and may increase pay.
- Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
