HR Generalist – North Haven, CT

Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Location: North Haven, CT
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer daily HR operations including onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and policy compliance.
- Process payroll for both hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Maintain HR records, including vacation/sick time, attendance tracking, and 401(k) contributions.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, performance management processes, and safety training.
- Coordinate benefit enrollments, ACA reporting, workers’ compensation claims, and annual audits.
- Prepare and analyze HR metrics and payroll reports to support decision-making.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees regarding HR and payroll inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in HR and payroll administration, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Spanish-speaking skills required.
- Experience with Paycor or similar HRIS/payroll systems highly desired.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
