Air Export Specialist – Atlanta, GA – VetJobs

VetJobs is searching for an experienced Air Export Specialist to join the DHL Global Forwarding (DGF) team located in Atlanta, GA. The role is on-site and focuses on managing the movement of air export shipments for DGF customers, serving as the primary point of contact between customer exports and shipping carriers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all air export shipments for our customers; ensure timely bookings with the airline on the customer’s behalf.
• Prepare export documentation in accordance with country requirements, including Certificate of Origin, Cargo Manifest, NAFTA Certificate, Airway Bill and any other documents required by the customer.
• File AES (automated electronic system) export customs compliance.
• Complete export documents on time and coordinate with both customer and/or warehouse for timely cargo delivery.
• Communicate regularly with the customer regarding shipment status and continually coordinate with overseas to meet delivery commitments; follow up with the airline to monitor and track departure and arrival information and updates.
• Ensure accurate invoicing of rendered services in a timeframe consistent with company policy.
• Maintain accurate and updated customer profiles.
• Meet all KPI’s assigned and audited by the Control Tower.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in transportation, logistics, or freight forwarding; air export experience preferred but not required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Cargo Wise systems knowledge is a plus.

Pay Range: $21.32 – $28.43/hr (Based on Experience)
