Job Details Job Category: Temporary Seniority level: Entry level Employment type: Temporary Location: Miami, FL Advertised Salary: $17.00 per hour Work Schedule: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Job Summary The College of Law Student Services is seeking a Temporary Office Assistant to join their team. Duties include administrative support, customer service to students, employers and faculty, and assist with day-to-day operations. Training will be provided to use the online system and to enter employment notices. Responsibilities Provide administrative assistance for the office of the COL Career Planning and Placement. Respond to inquiries from students, employers and faculty; redirect as needed; answer and route phone calls. Coordinate meetings, calendar, appointments and events as needed. Maintain administrative and financial files and manage the office email account. Prepare presentation materials and compose or prepare correspondence, memoranda, promotional materials, forms, newsletters, manuals, and reports using word processing and spreadsheet tools. Submit requisitions and receive merchandise in the system. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications : High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Desired Qualifications : Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; technologically savvy; ability to handle conflicting deadlines, works well under stress, and detail-oriented; professional demeanor. Under PPACA, temporary employees who work on average 30 hours or more per week may be eligible to enroll in health care benefits; supplemental plans (e.g., dental, vision) require full payment by the employee.
