We’re searching for an experienced Dock & Door Technician to join our team based out of our headquarters in Nashville, TN. Bailey is expanding with a new business unit focused on installation and service of Docks & Doors, and this position will play a vital role in the success of this new area. This is a high‑impact position and will be a growth opportunity for the right candidate.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Represent Bailey as the primary point of contact for all commercial Dock & Door customers within a service area.
- Install, service, and repair commercial/industrial doors, door opening systems, loading/warehouse docks, and dock leveling systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on Bailey equipment and systems at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot dock and door equipment, mechanisms, mechanical systems, and electrical circuits.
- Ensure quality through checking for proper installation, balance, and clearance.
- Proactively address customer needs and expand Bailey business through prompt, friendly, and safe service.
- Handle other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements
Education and Experience
- A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably with servicing warehouse equipment, commercial overhead doors, and/or loading dock equipment.
- Experience in welding, steel fabrication, and electrical.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Great communication skills.
- Good, safe work habits.
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
- Able to work with minimal or no supervision in the field.
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License.
