Recruiting Manager

Salary Range: $85,000-95,000
FLSA Status: Salary, Exempt
Location: Administration - Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment Strategy and Leadership – Develop and implement an innovative full-cycle recruitment strategy that builds a high-quality and diverse talent pipeline.
- Subject Matter Expert – Serve as a strategic partner to hiring managers on recruitment best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Team Management – Manage and mentor a recruiting team, providing guidance and support to optimize search methodologies.
- Sourcing and Candidate Experience – Employ creative and strategic sourcing methods, including leveraging professional networks, mission-aligned job boards (e.g., Idealist) and community partnerships to find both passive and active candidates.
- Candidate Experience – Enhance the overall candidate experience, from initial outreach to the final offer, ensuring a fair, inclusive, and positive process.
- Applicant Tracking System – Oversee the management of the ATS to maintain accurate candidate data and track recruitment metrics.
- Employer Branding – Collaborate with department heads to create effective job postings and define specific hiring needs; maintain relationships with external recruitment partners and professional networks; cultivate a strong authentic employer brand; lead or coordinate recruitment events to increase visibility and brand awareness.
- Compliance and Analysis – Ensure the recruitment process is fair, consistent, and legally compliant; track and report recruitment metrics; analyze recruitment data to identify trends and opportunities; stay up-to-date on talent acquisition trends, best practices, and relevant labor laws and regulations.
- New Hire Onboarding – Ensure a seamless and welcoming onboarding process for new hires.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Nonprofit management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of recruiting experience, with at least 2 years in a management or senior-level role.
- Demonstrated experience recruiting a wide variety of roles, from entry-level to senior-level staff.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruiting software.
- Experience using various sourcing techniques, including job boards, social media, and professional networks.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Experience maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with integrity.
- Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization is highly preferred.
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
