This person will be ensuring that we are hiring the best possible talent and achieving staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates and advising managers on various recruitment options.**Job Description****ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Establish recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives.* Meet with managers to discuss needs.* Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites.* Attract applicants by placing job advertisements; contact recruiters using newsgroups and job sites.* Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyze responses, verify references, and compare qualifications to job requirements.* Arrange management interviews by coordinating schedules; arrange travel, lodging, and meals.* Assist applicants for interviews and schedule appointments.* Manage new employee relocation by determining new employee requirements.* Improve organization’s attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices.* Monitor job offers and compensation practices.* Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.**QUALIFICATIONS:*** Bachelor’s degree required.* 1-2 years of corporate recruiting experience preferred.* Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.* Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.* General knowledge of current employment laws and practices.* Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills.* Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of Human Resources work.* Skills in database management and record keeping.* Ability to travel for recruiting meetings, college visits, career fairs, etc.Since 1971, AmeriLife has served the needs of its clients.
