Job Description

As a Security Officer in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you conduct routine patrols and remain visible throughout the property. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to everyone on site.

  • Wednesday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
  • Thursday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
  • Friday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
  • Saturday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
  • Sunday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report any unusual activity, incidents, or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel as needed.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions specific to the technology, media, and telecom environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
