Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced accountant to join our growing team. This permanent position involves managing a wide range of financial accounting activities, ensuring financial integrity, preparing reports, implementing strategies, and using accounting ERP and retail accounting.
Base Pay Range
$80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Must have food & beverage, retail, or hospitality experience. 2 days working from home, full benefits, and yearly bonus.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations, and report preparation.
- Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies, including review and implementation of process and system changes.
- Collaborate with external auditors and HR for comprehensive audits of company's financial status, payroll, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regular ledger processes, prepare financial reports, and reconcile invoices.
- Implement and monitor the ERP system and other accounting systems and software.
- Analyze financial data and create monthly reports to present to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and implement financial strategies and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the management level to align financial management with short and long-term financial planning and projections.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in Accounting ERP, retail accounting, financials, monthly reporting, ledger, ERP implementation.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
