Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is a 182‑bed, private psychiatric hospital located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The facility helps individuals suffering from mental health and substance abuse disorders gain the skills they need to walk on the path to recovery. We use specialized treatments and supportive services to provide high‑quality inpatient and outpatient programs with evidence‑based therapies that meet the individual needs of our patients.

The Staff Accountant supports the financial related processes in the facility by maintaining and analyzing accounting records and ensuring accuracy of data for all corresponding systems while supporting the Sr. Staff Accountant and/or CFO with the overall financial activities, including but not limited to general accounting, data processing and financial reporting of the facilities in accordance with all Company policies and procedures.

• Month‑end close binder and preparation of journal entries as assigned by the CFO.
• Maintain UKG time‑keeping system and communicate errors to the appropriate Department Director and CFO.
• Process bi‑weekly payroll for Fort Lauderdale Hospital in a timely manner and adhere to all corporate guidelines.
• Maintain accounts payable system and ensure all vendors are paid in accordance with contracts or terms stated on invoices.
• Assist CFO and Sr. Accountant with the annual budget process.
• Participate in daily operations and management meetings.
• Provide information in response to ad hoc corporate accounting requests.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic clerical skills and ability to problem‑solve.
