Job Description

As a Security Guard Access Control in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and media location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, checking badges, and managing access points. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment for staff and visitors. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, reflecting Allied Universal’s values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You’ll Do

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including areas related to technology, media, and telecommunications operations.
• Document and report any suspicious activities, security-related incidents or policy violations to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel.
• Assist with emergency evacuations and/or drills as required by site-specific procedures.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors and vendors while providing information and assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
