Role Overview
As a Senior Tax Manager, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients while also leading and mentoring teams. You’ll oversee complex tax engagements from planning through delivery, ensure exceptional client service, and contribute to practice growth through leadership and business development.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, review, and finalize complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts.
Stay current with tax law changes, providing proactive guidance and planning strategies.
Lead engagements end-to-end, including planning, budgeting, execution, and delivery.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a strategic advisor.
Partner with leadership to drive practice growth and business development.
Lead client meetings and presentations, clearly communicating complex tax concepts.
Monitor engagement profitability, ensuring budgets and client expectations are met.
Mentor, train, and supervise staff and senior associates.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting.
Active CPA license.
8+ years of passthrough tax experience in public accounting.
Expertise in preparing/reviewing partnership and S corporation tax returns.
Experience with multi-state filings and nexus considerations.
Strong technical and consulting background in tax compliance and planning.
Proficiency with tax preparation software (e.g., CCH Axcess) and Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop talent, and manage complex client engagements.
