Walker Warner Architects is an award‑winning San Francisco firm with a staff of 80+ that has completed many residential, winery, and hospitality projects in California, Hawaii, and other Western states. This position is based out of our San Francisco office and open to a hybrid schedule once onboarding and orientation is complete.
Role Overview We are seeking a
Visualization Manager
to join our design practice and contribute to the creation of compelling architectural imagery that supports and elevates our work. This role is focused on hands‑on production, developing visuals that capture atmosphere, materiality and narrative across all phases of design. The ideal candidate is fluent in architectural technology and visualization workflows, with the ability to build systems, set standards and lead a multidisciplinary team toward a consistent, on‑brand visual identity.
Primary Responsibilities
Produce high‑quality visualizations that communicate design intent with clarity, atmosphere and photorealism.
Maintain a strong eye for composition, storytelling and detail while delivering consistently on technical execution.
Provide hands‑on visualization support across multiple project typologies, ensuring deliverables align with design vision and project deadlines.
Collaborate closely with project teams to develop compelling visuals at all stages of design, from early conceptual ideation to polished, client‑ready presentations.
Adhere to firm‑wide visualization standards, templates and guidelines established by senior visualization leadership.
Ensure consistency, accuracy and quality across all visual outputs.
Contribute to refining workflows and visual standards, with the opportunity to help shape evolving processes.
Participate in internal reviews, incorporating feedback from senior leaders to strengthen visualization quality.
Collaborate with internal leadership teams to establish and confirm standards and update visualization strategies.
Mentor junior staff in visualization techniques, software and best practices.
Represent the firm externally by attending events to stay connected within the industry and remain knowledgeable about emerging trends and technologies.
Stay informed about industry tools and techniques, particularly in AI‑driven visualization, and share knowledge with colleagues.
Explore real‑time and immersive workflows to expand firm capabilities in VR, AR and interactive platforms.
Apply and experiment with advanced visualization tools.
Qualifications
Proven experience (5–10 years) in architectural visualization or a related creative production role, with a strong portfolio of high‑end renderings and visual storytelling.
Deep knowledge of Twinmotion visualization software.
Knowledge of Archicad / Twinmotion workflows.
Experience working in a Mac‑based design environment.
Expert‑level Adobe Photoshop skills.
Strong interest in emerging AI technologies.
Knowledge of movie editing software such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere or similar tools.
Knowledge of Corona, V‑Ray, Unreal Engine, 3ds Max or similar.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a collaborative, design‑focused studio.
Skilled communicator and teacher, able to clearly articulate feedback and coach others toward excellence.
A proactive learner, open to mentorship, and motivated to grow technical and creative expertise.
Compensation & Benefits Walker Warner offers a competitive compensation package including fully paid health benefits for employees, profit sharing, employer 401(k) contribution, generous paid time‑off, flexible spending accounts and more. For 2025, the hiring base annual salary range for this position is $120,000 – $140,000.
