Surgery - Thoracic Physician Assistant

CT Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Locums Job Seeking 7-14 Days per Month in Northern Virginia October 2025 + Ongoing

Coverage Need:

Friday, 10/ ) - Monday, 10/20 (ending at 0700)
Friday, 11/7 (1500) - Monday, 11/20 (ending at 0700)
Friday, 11/ ) - Monday, 12/1 (ending at 0700)

Shifts:
Seeking inpatient coverage between the hours of 6:30AM - 3PM + night and weekend call coverage

Details/Requirements for Assignment :
Active + unrestricted Virginia license + DEA is required
Active Board Certification required
If Nurse Practitioner - MUST be Acute Care NP (Health System cannot credential those that do not have the IP training - certification is required)
Facility's Cardiac Staff: will work alongside of 2 CT Surgeons, 1 lead PA, 2 integrated RN care managers, 1 clinic RN + 1 clerical staff member
Case volume: will do approximately 4-8 cases per week and assist with ED consults/daily patient rounding
ALL skills associated with CT Surgery APP is required including Vein Harvesting, + Chest Tube Placements
Patient population is 100% Adult + Geriatric
Facility details: Epic EMR, 220+ bed facility, level III trauma designation
