Senior Sales Executive Overview The Senior Sales Executive in our Tax & Accounting Professionals Large client segment is responsible for retaining and growing their existing account base and acquiring new accounts within their geographic area of responsibility. The SSE can develop trust, demonstrate their credibility with all account stakeholders through their knowledge of Thomson Reuters products and services, and acquire knowledge of the tax and accounting industry. They will tailor client presentations to the unique needs of each account and articulate proposals through ROI justification to shorten the sales cycle.
In this opportunity as a Senior Sales Executive, you will:
Consult with customers to understand their needs, growth goals and partner with them to identify opportunities to meet or exceed customer needs and provide the right solutions to address those needs, improve operations and grow revenue.
Attain sales and renewal targets and quotas on a monthly basis.
Demonstrate the use of Tax & Accounting products to the customer – GST, UT, GFR, API, OneSource, Tax Research, AI and more.
Obtain and provide territory information regarding market intelligence and penetration.
Confer with and assist in customer‑related issues as needed to maintain good customer relations.
Complete weekly sales performance reports and complete all CRM reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
Drive strategic initiatives supported by an assigned account team consisting of Sales Development Representative, Account Development Representative and Solutions Consultants to drive growth in the assigned territory.
Leverage sales automation tools and data insights to engage prospects and expedite sales cycles (such as utilizing Flash/EMS/Salesforce).
Attend sales meetings and conventions as required.
About You
Minimum 5 years’ successful sales experience, with at least 3 years selling Tax software.
Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
Proven or consistent track record of quota attainment.
Software as a Service (SAAS) experience a plus.
Working knowledge of sales concepts, methods and techniques.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to maximize phone and virtual client meetings and presentations.
Strong prospecting and closing skills.
Ability to sell UltraTax new, GST new, OneSource new, Automation new, Tax Research new and cross‑sell/upsell to the current client base.
Strong time management and organization skills.
Ambitious self‑starter with high energy and motivation.
Highly proficient in MS Office suite, utilizing a CRM such as Salesforce, and overall technical aptitude.
Continuous learner, flexible and open‑minded, positive attitude.
High level of integrity and understanding of sales ethics.
Willingness to travel.

Pay For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the target total cash compensation range for this role is $178,500 - $331,500. This includes base pay and any target sales incentive.
