Acquisition Program Analyst, Senior - TS/SCI
Onsite 5 days per week
This position provides critical PEM support for programs of record (PoR) across the AQP portfolio. The portfolio includes legacy fighters, fifth‑generation aircraft, sixth‑generation aircraft, and nuclear triad programs, and it supports emerging Air Force kinetic priorities.
Responsibilities
Support HAF budget preparation, decision‑making activities, and PEO program execution and oversight of aircraft platforms.
Maintain and analyze planning, scheduling, and management data; study and recommend requirements, acquisition strategies, program documentation, and phase transition plans.
Provide impartial assessments of programs approaching milestone decisions and prime contractor technical and operational issues.
Research and analyze program trends, identify issues, and recommend solutions.
Make recommendations on funding allocation, program goals, objectives, schedules, and program direction.
Track compliance with stated program direction and identify issues.
Identify and research programmatic tradeoffs in terms of required capabilities, costs, and schedules.
Review and recommend existing and proposed Air Force acquisition and capability area policies and implementation.
Review and evaluate the impact of national, DoD, JCS, and civil government policies and activities that affect Air Force acquisition programs and capability areas.
Maintain historical Air Force weapon program documentation and develop summary documents, briefings, and training material.
Provide short‑notice, quick‑reaction analyses of critical programmatic issues in congressional and joint staff contexts.
Prepare PPBE documentation to ensure accurate articulation of current programs.
Support the HAF review process—AFROCs, JWCAs, DABs, congressional cycle, ASPs, AFRBs, CSBs, GAO reports, and more.
Review and document MDR and FOIA requests.
Monitor ongoing studies, analyses, and developmental work relevant to weapon systems.
Support program‑specific efforts such as CONOPS development, CDD, CPD, IER, and requirements working groups.
Assist in preparation of legislative hearings, briefing packages, and read‑aheads to maintain an integrated Air Force position.
Handle confidential and classified (Secret/TS‑SCI) information, correspondence, and communications.
Perform other tasks closely associated with the performance of duties and coordinated with the COR.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in business or related discipline.
At least 10 years of relevant acquisition (programs of record) experience in a System Program Office and/or Air Force Headquarters.
Work Experience Substitutions
12 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a MA/MS degree.
BA/BS degree plus 8 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a MA/MS degree.
