Position Overview We’re seeking a personable and driven Advertising Account Executive to help expand The Outlook’s growing network of advertisers. This hybrid role combines sales, relationship management, and community engagement—perfect for someone who thrives on connecting with local business owners and telling their stories through creative advertising solutions.

You’ll build new business, manage existing accounts, and collaborate closely with our internal creative and operations teams to deliver high‑quality results for clients.

You’ll report directly to the CEO, and work closely with the Outlook Managing Editor, SASCC Project Manager, SASCC Graphic Designer, and SASCC Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with advertisers across our expanding service area.

Prospect, pitch, and close new advertising contracts (print and digital).

Manage client accounts from initial contact through creative approval and publication.

Work collaboratively with editorial, design, and operations teams to ensure ad quality and placement.

Represent The Outlook and SASCC at local community events and networking functions.

Track sales activity, goals, and performance metrics in CRM tools.

Contribute ideas for new partnerships, sponsorships, and revenue‑generating initiatives.

Qualifications 2+ years of experience in sales, account management, or advertising/media preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills — you’re a relationship builder and storyteller.

Self‑motivated with the ability to set goals and manage your own schedule.

Familiarity with local business communities in Santa Clara County a plus.

Excellent organization and follow‑through skills.

Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.

Technical Skills & Tools (Industry Standard) Candidates should be proficient in or familiar with:

CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)

Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)

Digital advertising basics (file formats, display specs, analytics)

Email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact)

Social media advertising (Facebook/Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn)

Basic understanding of print production workflows (ad sizing, proofs, deadlines)
