Brief Description
The Copywriter is responsible for written marketing content, both short- and long-form, as required. The goal is clear and concise marketing communication for DMP across various platforms and channels, including product catalogs, specs, sales sheets, brochures, print and digital advertising, blog posts, white papers, case studies, press releases and other vehicles. The role also acts as an editor and proofer, ensuring that the written content is accurate, efficient, on‑brand and aligned with the company’s strategic goals, while managing the digital presence through scheduling social media posts, emails, and website content.
Qualifications
College degree in English, Marketing, Communications or related field, preferred
Experience producing copy for print and digital media channels
Proven success in producing copy for advertising or marketing campaigns
Exceptional skill in social media writing, with a full understanding of current strategies and techniques
Proficiency with common office software and Adobe Creative Suite; design/art direction skills a plus
Experience with web publishing, social media platforms, email management platforms, and CMS
Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team inside and outside the department
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, including setting and meeting deadlines
The ability to deliver fresh, creative content ideas that support marketing goals
Ability to quickly learn technical information and apply it in a fast‑paced environment
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Supports the development of marketing tools through writing content.
Aligns with other creative team members to build out various collateral, including product spec sheets, brochures, white papers, case studies and print ads.
Creates scripts for company and product videos.
Serves as "go‑to" for all editing and proofing within the marketing team.
Writes clear and error‑free content for the website that reflects the company's voice and brand style.
Meets with Specialty groups to understand their message, brand voice and target audience.
Proposes copy concepts in an engaging way and carries out projects once they are approved.
Interprets creative direction and technical information and turns them into persuasive copy concepts.
Collaborates with marketing team to brainstorm and develop a variety of marketing materials.
Researches industry topics and trends for strategic planning.
Works with Specialty groups to produce copy that meets their content expectations.
Observes corporate policies, contributes to the team by performing other duties as assigned.
Observes DMP Data Classification Standard.
