About the Role Aon is looking for an Underwriting Assistant to support our K&K Insurance group Leisure business group in Ft. Wayne, IN. This hybrid career opportunity will support Aon Affinity and Aon’s business of better decisions.
What The Day Will Look Like
Obtain documents and information needed to prepare an underwriting submission file, including fully completed application and related documents.
Prepare renewal account files by obtaining information needed for underwriters to review.
Compile and summarize pertinent data to assist underwriters in their review and evaluation of submissions.
Complete a variety of day-to-day client service transactions, including policy endorsements, certificates, binders, cancellations, or other necessary tasks.
Assist underwriters in carrying out their essential duties and responsibilities to enhance the overall performance of the team.
Develop and maintain positive and constructive working relationships with underwriters, marketing professionals, brokers, and policy operations processing associates to provide high quality service to clients.
Complete a variety of underwriting projects at the direction of the Underwriting Manager or Underwriting Director and SVP.
Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success
Property & Casualty license preferred; required to obtain within three months of hire date.
1-3 years commercial insurance industry experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite products (Word, Outlook, Excel).
Education Associate’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $40,000 to $45,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities.
