WordPress (3–5 years): Multi‑Site architecture, plugin development, REST API, security, performance optimization
Gutenberg/React (2–4 years): Custom block development, React fundamentals, ES6+, WordPress data layer
Database & Integration (2–4 years): MySQL/MariaDB, REST APIs, ETL processes, Git workflows
Enterprise Practices: CI/CD, code quality tools, Agile methodologies, documentation
Job Description: Seeking a Mid‑Level WordPress/Gutenberg Developer to lead the technical development of a proof‑of‑concept for migrating a legacy .NET consultant management system to a modern WordPress Multi‑Site platform. This role involves building custom plugins, intuitive Gutenberg blocks, and executing data migration strategies. The project lays the foundation for a broader enterprise re‑platforming initiative using cutting‑edge WordPress technologies and AI‑augmented development tools.
Key Responsibilities
Development (60%):
Build custom plugins and Gutenberg blocks
Develop REST API endpoints
Write unit/integration tests and participate in code reviews
Migration (20%):
Support data migration from .NET/MSSQL to WordPress/MySQL
Implement transformation and validation logic
Document migration processes
Integration (10%):
Integrate with external systems via REST APIs
Implement authentication and authorization
Collaboration (10%):
Work with architects, QA, and project teams
Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate progress
