Capability Manager
Pay range: $60.00/hr - $65.00/hr
The Capability Manager leads and manages daily activities through the development of Lean Business Case (LBC), value assertions, impact analysis, stakeholder management, and requirement elicitation for strategic investments across the client and matrixed partners. This role drives business and technical delivery of capabilities that enable department infrastructure and enhance the client’s product features.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead the development of capability lean business case, measurable value assertions and cost estimates partnering with cross‑matrix resources to establish funding allocation in the annual planning process.
Manage capability development throughout the technical delivery lifecycle.
Partner with Business/Technology architecture and process engineering to create current and future state process and system solutions.
Manage stakeholder roster, set engagement expectations, and manage elicitation and review forums and proper change controls through the delivery lifecycle.
Responsible for engaging operational readiness resources in all stages of the delivery lifecycle to ensure awareness, alignment, and readiness to deliver on Change Management functions—communications, training, SOP, Process mapping, and run‑state support.
Partner with the Program Manager to support Business Strategic initiatives with capability dependencies to ensure scope and delivery timeline alignment.
Experience & Qualifications
8+ years of Product development, technical delivery and process development.
Ability to drive initiative and be self‑guided once given an overarching task.
Experience working in a techno‑functional environment—experience translating technical lingo into lay terms and vice versa.
Process mapping and documentation expertise.
Ability to travel infrequently (likely max 20% of time).
