Our West Union, SC manufacturing plant is looking for a Staff RF Design Engineer to join our Wireless Hardware R&D team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop new products, support existing products and improve processes, specifically related to RF and communication design.
Lead RF circuit design from concept to production for low cost wireless communications product-line complete radio transceiver design and layout including RF pA, LNA, RF filters and matching, synthesizers, VCO's and mixers.
Conduct RF circuit measurements using laboratory spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, etc.
Verify that designs meet requirements through analysis, simulation, and measurement. Compare results to theory and document results.
Carry out field studies and system test activities.
Provide design and project support in the areas of project leadership, regulation, reliability, and components selections.
Provide technical support to factory, service and other internal departments.
Coordinate and verify the work of support staff (technicians and CAD Designers).
Lead projects.
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum 7 years of related industrial experience.
In-depth understanding of electronic circuits, RF circuits and microwave theory.
Good understanding of RF system and wireless communication system.
Experience with FCC certification.
Experience with advanced modeling and simulation.
Experience with communication theory and digital signal processing is a plus.
Education
Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
