Executive Assistant, Marketing & Communications Sesame Workshop is looking to hire an Executive Assistant for our Marketing & Communications team. This active role directly supports the Senior Vice President of Marketing and the Senior Vice President of Communications & Public Affairs. The Executive Assistant supports department-wide special projects and administrative needs, including managing schedules, travel, correspondence, contracts, and more. The role plays a significant part in representing leadership internally and externally, requiring skilled management of multiple tasks and conflicting priorities with accuracy, attention to detail, and discretion for confidential information.

Base pay range $86,000.00/yr – $95,000.00/yr

Primary Responsibilities

Manage two busy schedules, scheduling meetings that often require complex coordination with multiple parties and proactively resolving conflicts.

Direct and handle urgent and/or sensitive correspondence with discretion.

Organize internal meetings/events, including department retreats, lunch & learn sessions, and other internal communications needs.

Manage general follow-up and generate reminders to meet deadlines and commitments.

Project manage special department initiatives and a range of special projects.

Arrange occasional domestic and international business travel.

Prepare expense reimbursement and other required reports.

Prepare occasional briefing documents, presentations, and reports for meetings or events.

Contract external vendors.

Coordinate with executives, support staff, and IT and facilities on scheduling and administrative needs.

Procure premiums and assist with mailings.

Perform other administrative tasks, as assigned.

Assist with planning and supporting internal and external events at peak times and provide onsite support for special events.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of work experience supporting executive-level positions, with experience supporting C-level executives strongly preferred.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive correspondence.

High level proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel and ability to learn new technology tools for project and expense management.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong editing, proof‑reading, and copyediting ability.

Strong multitasker with excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment and effectively take direction.

Collaborative team player, willing to pitch in wherever needed.

Self‑starter capable of owning and proactively managing multiple projects at a time.
