Ogletree Deakins has the opportunity for an Events Coordinator to join the firm’s Client Services department. This position will assist our events team with all aspects of planning for the firm’s national client-facing and internal events. Job duties include assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of firm-hosted and sponsored events, assisting with registrations, drafting event communications and marketing emails, maintaining event calendars, and ensuring deadlines and budgets are adhered to. The Events Coordinator will utilize event management software and will serve as a resource and point of contact for issues for our national programs. Responsibilities

Assist with planning, marketing, and on-site support for national client seminars and internal firm events Coordinate venue selection, food and beverage, A/V needs, hotel room reservations, meeting room assignments, guest and internal speakers, and event materials Work closely with internal and external event planning teams to execute top-notch events with a focus on customer service Assist with marketing efforts to effectively promote events to target audience Maintain a calendar of events and ensure timely execution of all details and marketing efforts Participate in weekly events calls to discuss status of upcoming events Maintain registration database and assist with client inquiries, including invoices and troubleshooting Create event websites for national internal and client-facing events Ensure all events reflect the firm’s brand and follow branding guidelines Collect attendee feedback and prepare event debriefs and evaluation summaries Communicate effectively with Client Services Department leaders and members, firm attorneys, client attendees, and others within and outside the firm as necessary to ensure top-notch events As needed, assist with other administrative tasks related to CLE and HRCI/SHRM credit, webinars, bios, promotional items, and other Client Services functions Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a communications or marketing-related field 2+ years corporate events experience preferred Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong collaboration skills Ability to take initiative and work in a self-directed manner Ability to meet deadlines Ability to multi-task and handle responsibilities for multiple events Ability to develop professional relationships with hotel staff, outside vendors, and clients Strong writing skills, customer service-oriented approach, and ability to communicate professionally and clearly with clients, attorneys, and staff Ability to travel to firm events and site visits Proficiency in all Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Proficiency in Cvent or other event registration software a plus Please note, we are not working with outside recruiters for this position.
