We are seeking a forward thinking, results-oriented, Marketing Manager to lead and oversee the marketing efforts of our e-commerce driven curly hair care brand. This role will be responsible for driving growth by optimizing marketing strategies, turning marketing ideas into actionable projects, providing direction and guidance to the marketing team, and successfully driving execution of marketing initiatives. The Marketing Manager will oversee performance of the marketing funnel, and ensure alignment between all marketing activities driving customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth, while partnering with cross-functional teams and marketing partners as needed. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in e-commerce marketing project management, and growth marketing, with a strong understanding of the hair care industry and consumer trends, and experience managing in-person and remote teams. Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Strategic Oversight

Provide guidance, mentorship, and direction to the marketing team, ensuring alignment with company goals. Manage sales and marketing calendar, and ensure all marketing campaigns are integrated and optimized for success. Review marketing KPI’s across all channels, and use data-driven insights to refine and optimize marketing strategies. Ensure that all marketing partners understand business objectives, target audiences, and brand positioning. Conduct ongoing research and analysis of relevant trends, product releases, industry developments, consumer behavior, and competitor actions, as needed to continually inform accurate assessment of the marketing landscape. Identify new opportunities for growth and efficiency, based on market trends and performance data.

Organic Growth + Marketing Funnel Optimization

Develop and drive execution of organic social media growth strategies, to align with business goals. Ensure social content aligns with brand voice, product positioning, and marketing calendar. Implement and manage processes to identify opportunities for viral content, unique brand storytelling, and UGC amplification. Ensure E-mail, SMS, Influencer campaigns, and creative output aligns with marketing strategy. Monitor and analyze social media performance, e-mail marketing performance, and influencer partnership metrics, to measure ROI, and guide optimization efforts. Oversee customer retention initiatives, and optimize plans to maximize LTV. Oversee development of marketing materials and sales collateral tailored to wholesale partners, ensuring consistency with e-commerce messaging.

Customer Journey & CRO

Work cross-functionally with the Customer Service department to utilize customer feedback to improve marketing efforts, and increase conversions. Identify areas for UX/UI improvements, and lead CRO projects to improve landing pages, product pages, and checkout flow to increase conversions. Implement customer personalization throughout the marketing funnel to improve conversion rates, leveraging AI tools and platforms when needed. Work with web developers and designers to optimize website to ensure a frictionless user experience.

New Product Marketing & Other activities

Collaborate with leadership to plan, and manage execution of go-to-market strategies for new product launches, ensuring cross-team alignment to drive awareness and sales. Track product launch performance, and adjust strategies based on insights and sales trends. Manage paid advertising KPI’s to optimize results, and align paid media strategies with broader business goals. Stay updated on paid media trends, algorithm changes, and new advertising opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills

5+ years of experience in e-commerce marketing, with at least 2 years of marketing management experience. Beauty or hair care industry experience preferred. Proven expertise in growth marketing and consumer psychology. Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills. Demonstrated experience growing TikTok, Instagram, and/or YouTube audiences with short-form content strategies. Strong knowledge of E-mail and SMS platforms, Shopify, Google Analytics, and e-commerce performance tracking tools. Proven ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on performance metrics. Experience using AI tools to optimize marketing activities. Understanding of B2B/wholesale marketing strategies and salon/retail distribution preferred. Details
