Store Manager in Training – Dollar Tree
Bring your leadership skills to Dollar Tree and create a welcoming environment for customers and associates. This role involves on‑the‑job training to learn how to manage the profitable operations of your assigned store.
Responsibilities
Recruit and hire store associates.
Foster associate growth through training on operations and merchandising while coaching and correcting when appropriate.
Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations while enforcing company policies and procedures.
Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
Implement operational and merchandising direction communicated from corporate headquarters.
Help your store reach its maximum profit contribution.
Protect company assets.
Maintain a high level of customer service across the store.
Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience preferred.
Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; big box experience a plus.
Strong productivity management in freight processing required.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
Ability to work in a high‑energy, team environment required.
Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting. Reasonable accommodations available.
