Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS) – Europe
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance cloud infrastructure for a rapidly growing SaaS platform. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional engineering and product teams to ensure platform reliability, optimize performance, and enhance system observability. Accountabilities
Monitor and maintain the health, availability, and performance of production systems, taking a holistic approach to reliability
Design, implement, and manage platform infrastructure and application deployment pipelines using AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologies
Provide guidance, planning, and review of team members' contributions to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality solutions
Optimize system performance through metrics analysis, capacity planning, and fault detection
Implement automation to improve efficiency, scalability, and system resilience
Collaborate with development teams to enhance services, testing procedures, and release processes
Balance feature development speed with reliability and defined service level objectives
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or DevOps Engineer
Strong expertise in AWS cloud services and Kubernetes, including Helm and container orchestration using Docker
Proficiency in programming with structured and object-oriented languages such as TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust, C/C++, C#, or Java
Hands-on experience with monitoring, tracing, and logging tools such as DataDog, Kibana, Grafana, HoneyComb, or Harvest
Familiarity with event-driven architectures using distributed message brokers (Apache Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS, RabbitMQ, Redis Streams)
Knowledge of dynamic resource management frameworks (Kubernetes, Yarn, Helm, cdk8s, AWS CDK, Terraform)
Proactive problem-solving attitude, accountability, and ability to manage full project lifecycles
Strong self-management, communication skills, and teamwork mindset
Preferred: AWS and/or Kubernetes certifications
