Job Overview As the Assistant Vice President, you will execute LPL’s strategic vision for a World‑Class Investment Platform, delivering enterprise‑wide initiatives and ensuring the seamless implementation of tax overlay services. Success is measured by stakeholder satisfaction, new process implementation and scalability.
Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Execution
Lead cross‑functional workstreams to deliver on Tax Overlay and Centrally Managed Platform initiatives.
Drive enterprise alignment on roadmap goals, timelines and prioritization strategies.
Ensure timely execution of deliverables through collaboration and communication with cross‑functional partners.
Lead dynamic team in the delivery and implementation of world‑class service from the Tax Overlay program.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Alignment
Collaborate across the firm to maintain alignment on vision, strategy and performance to goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with enterprise stakeholders, advisors and consulting teams.
Partner with business leaders to prioritize enhancements and support backlog grooming and prioritization.
Influence business partners to ensure technical and operational requirements reflect user needs.
Anticipate roadblocks and proactively resolve them to maintain momentum and alignment.
Engage stakeholders to shape a seamless advisor and client experience across platforms.
Change Management & Communication
Drive organizational change initiatives, including communication strategies and training programs for new processes.
Develop and present executive‑level updates to communicate progress, challenges and key metrics.
Prepare and deliver data‑driven presentations that facilitate executive decision‑making.
Process Optimization & Risk Management
Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities that increase scalability and efficiency.
Monitor risks, gaps and operational dependencies, partnering with product and compliance teams to resolve issues.
Responsible for development and implementation of staff training program and ensuring process and procedures are documented and reviewed on a regular cadence while remaining in alignment with LPL Compliance Requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Series 7 and 66 (or 63/65 equivalent) or obtain within 90 days of hire.
5+ years in investment‑management program leadership, advisory platforms or overlay‑strategy implementations.
Deep expertise in unified managed accounts, portfolio accounting systems and trading operations.
Proven track record of driving enterprise initiatives with executive‑level impact.
Exceptional storytelling, presentation and influencing skills; comfortable engaging C‑suite and advisor audiences.
Strong analytical mindset; advanced Excel (pivot tables, VBA/macros), PowerPoint and data‑visualization proficiency.
Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, manage competing priorities and deliver against tight deadlines.
Working knowledge of Modern Portfolio Theory, multi‑factor risk models and tax‑optimization algorithms.
Core Competencies
Strategic thought leader with strong analytical skills.
Expert user of Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint, including pivot tables and SmartSheet.
Excellent presentation skills, both in terms of creating clear messaging and professional presentation and delivery.

Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with LPL’s Advisory Account framework and technology ecosystem.
CFA/CFP designation or progress toward completion.
Experience leading Tax Overlay or Direct Index Tax solutions focusing on scaling tax‑aware rebalancing and overlay workflows.
Pay Range $115,988 - $193,313 /year. Total Rewards package includes 401K matching, health benefits, employee stock options, paid time off and more.
