Overview Private Tax is a growing practice that serves privately held companies, from family owned businesses to private equity owned companies. You will work on technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects and have opportunities to progress to manager.
Your Key Responsibilities
Prepare or review federal and state tax returns for U.S. corporations and some partnerships, including foreign reporting requirements for cross‑border compliance.
Provide tax research, memoranda drafting, and assistance in quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services.
Identify and communicate significant tax matters to managers, senior managers, MDs, and partners.
Liaise and develop relationships with other service lines and subject matter professionals.
Build effective long‑term relationships with clients, tailoring service to unique needs.
Communicate complex tax issues to non‑tax professionals and clients.
Maintain technical knowledge and share best practices.
Identify and react to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes.
Skills and Attributes for Success
A bachelor's degree in a related field plus tax, business, or financial planning experience.
Eligibility for CPA certification or membership in The Bar.
Prior experience with ASC 740 tax provisions.
Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills with confidence to challenge stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
Minimum 3 years of work experience in professional services or a professional tax organization.
A commitment to continuous learning.
Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA, or Lexis Nexis.
Ability to work in a balanced hybrid environment and willingness to travel as needed.
What We Offer You We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. The base salary range for this job across the U.S. is $82,000 to $135,200, with higher ranges in high‑cost areas. Benefits include medical, dental, pension, 401(k), paid time off, flexible vacation, and a globally inclusive culture.
