Position Summary The Department of Management & Marketing in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship at North Central College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Management, to begin Fall 2026.

Duties

Teaching a variety of Management courses, such as Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Business & Economic Statistics, Production & Operations Management, Project Management, Data Analytics, Intro to Management, among others, at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. The typical teaching load is 20 credits per academic year (3-2 schedule, with 4-credit hour courses). A course release is available in the first year for new faculty, and start-up funding may also be available.

Assessing student work and providing detailed feedback on how to improve their content knowledge, critical thinking skills, oral and written communication skills, etc.

Developing curricula for courses, minors, graduate certificates, and potential majors in the School of Business & Entrepreneurship and the Department of Management & Marketing by coordinating with other academic departments to develop a curriculum that meets the needs of students in a wide range of academic areas.

Mentoring undergraduate students and student groups outside the classroom by engaging students in research as applicable, advising student groups, etc.

Attending conferences and workshops as necessary to remain active in the field(s) of study; engage with the Department of Management & Marketing to further develop teaching and mentoring skills; complete campus-wide training required by the Offices of Academic Affairs and Human Resources.

Pursuing current and new research activities in the field(s) of study, including new research projects, writing/dissemination of current and future research, and presentation of research at conferences.

Performing other departmental duties and attend activities as necessary, including attending department meetings, and participating in committees, task forces, and others as required.

Basic Qualifications

The successful candidate will have completed a Ph.D. in Management or a related field. ABD may be considered if degree is completed by the start date.

Applicants must demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students, and ongoing scholarship.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated excellence in both teaching and research.
