This is a hybrid position, requiring three days in the office and two days remote weekly. Compensation

Salary: $4,600 - $5,200 monthly - based on experience Summary of Work

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Specialist with experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, and reporting. In this role, you will serve as the payroll administrator in PeopleSoft, ensuring accurate timesheet coding, salary adjustments, deductions, and payroll changes. You will also manage onboarding for full-time and seasonal employees, including benefits enrollment and system access, while providing administrative support to the Director of Parks and Recreation. To succeed, you should be highly organized, able to manage time and priorities effectively, and confident in explaining payroll policies and procedures to managers and team members. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. Key Responsibilities

Administer and process payroll accurately and on schedule, including salary changes, deductions, and adjustments. Serve as payroll administrator in PeopleSoft, ensuring proper coding and compliance. Manage employee benefits enrollment and changes for new and existing staff. Oversee onboarding and offboarding for full-time and temporary seasonal employees, including system access and required paperwork. Prepare and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. Provide administrative support to the Director of Parks and Recreation. Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures. Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree in human resources management, Business or Public Administration, Accounting, or a closely related field plus at least two years of payroll work experience, or Four years of relevant work experience, or Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Business or Public Administration, Accounting, or a closely related field plus at least one year of payroll work experience. Proven experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, and reporting. Experience managing, I-9 employment eligibility verification and compliance. Proficiency with payroll systems, preferably PeopleSoft, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel in particular). Strong knowledge of payroll laws, compliance requirements, and HR practices. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail. Ability to clearly explain payroll and benefits policies to managers and team members. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Discretion and integrity when handling confidential information. About Team ND
