Responsibilities and Duties
- Review and assess diagnostic imaging such as CT scans, MRIs, and PET scans to determine tumor locations and critical organ involvement.
- Oversee treatment planning using systems like Eclipse, RayStation, Pinnacle, and Monaco.
- Prescribe and manage External Beam Radiation Therapy (EBRT) techniques including:
- 3D Conformal Planning
- IMRT (Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy)
- IGRT (Image-Guided Radiation Therapy)
- VMAT (Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy)
- SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy)
- Electron Beam Therapy
- Direct the use of brachytherapy for cases involving prostate and potentially breast cancer.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care.
Additional Information
- Must be board certified or board eligible in Radiation Oncology.
- Must hold a valid New York medical license.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a relevant field.
- Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
