Founding Software Engineer (Entry Level)

We’re building an AI-powered legal intelligence platform to reimagine the $350B enterprise legal market, one of the most underserved spaces for decades. Our team comes from Google, Meta, Airbnb, Amazon, top law firms, and startups — and we’re backed by top VCs.

This is an entry level role (0-3 year of experience candidate). As part of our founding engineering team, you’ll play a critical role in building core technology and ship everyday.

This role currently does not support new H1B application

What you’ll do:

• Build full stack applications with Next.js, React, and TypeScript. Split your time roughly 50/50 between frontend and backend projects.
• Working across APIs and data workflows.
• Partner with product designers to deliver intuitive, elegant UI/UX for legal workflows.
• Experiment with prompt engineering to connect AI capabilities into product features.
• Work directly with founders and customers, shipping fast and iterating daily.

What we’re looking for:

• 0-2 year of experience candidate. Dropout, builder, prev experiences at AI startup or YC companies are highly preferable.
• Hustler mindset; comfortable in a fast-paced, 50~60+ hours/week startup
• Proficient in Next.js / React / TypeScript experience and product sense
• Previous experience in CRM, gov tech, reg tech, or legal tech (huge plus)

Location:

Hybrid in San Francisco (2–3 days/week in person)

Salary

$110K–$150K base + equity, full benefits, 401(k), flexible PTO — final package depends on interview and experience.

Option 1

• A short paid work trial in SF (a couple days, can accommodate at weekends) to implement a real Ruli feature.
