Overview
Senior Software Engineer – full‑time, remote location Chicago, IL. The role focuses on developing a modern SharePoint Online intranet and custom SPFx solutions while ensuring application performance, scalability, and security. Responsibilities
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to coding standards and performing regular code reviews. Contribute to system design decisions, ensuring solutions are robust, secure, and aligned with business requirements. Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments. Analyze and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability. Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, and codebases. Provide mentorship to junior developers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes. Lead the design, development, and deployment of a modern SharePoint Online intranet that enhances collaboration and user experience. Develop, customize, and maintain SharePoint Framework (SPFx) web parts, extensions, and applications to meet business needs. Design and implement integrations between SharePoint Online and other enterprise systems (e.g., Master Data Directory, Financial Systems) using APIs, web services, and connectors. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Experience developing and deploying web‑based applications on Microsoft Azure, including Azure App Services, Function Apps, and Logic Apps. Experience with UI/UX concepts, including HTML5, CSS, and responsive design principles. Experience with JSON, RESTful APIs, XML, and SASS. Experience writing complex SQL queries, including joins, subqueries, and aggregate functions. Experience designing and managing relational databases, including table structures, indexes, and relationships. Experience with version control systems such as Git. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely completion while maintaining high‑quality standards. Good written and verbal communication skills. Illinois Pay Transparency Law: the expected salary range for this Illinois position is between $110,000 to $150,000. Benefits
