Job Description: We’re recruiting for a
Tax Manager
who will play a key role in overseeing partnership tax matters across a diverse portfolio of funds and entities. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals, take ownership of complex projects, and make a meaningful impact in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the review and sign‑off of tax workpapers and returns for funds, GP, and co‑investment entities
Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax estimates
Manage and coordinate with outsourced CPA firms to ensure timely, high‑quality deliverables
Review partnership tax returns for portfolio holding companies
Analyze state risk exposure and sign off on related workpapers
Support investor distributions and ensure appropriate tax withholding requirements are met
Maintain and manage partner data used for K‑1 reporting and withholding calculations
Review legal and operating agreements to assess tax implications for contributions, allocations, and distributions
Respond to investor questions related to tax reporting and partner allocations
Track project timelines, deliverables, and documentation to keep initiatives on schedule
Contribute to special projects and process improvements as the team continues to grow
Requirements & Qualifications:
CPA required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5–8 years of experience in partnership tax, ideally with a mix of Big 4 and in‑house (industry) exposure
Strong understanding of partnership tax concepts, with familiarity in individual, corporate, foreign, and/or state tax a plus
Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
A team‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
