Sunrise Children’s Hospital in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a passionate and experienced BC / BE Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to join their well-established, state-of-the-art 14‑bed Cardiac ICU team, providing exceptional care in the only surgical congenital heart program in Nevada with an academic affiliation to the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Medicine. Responsibilities
Provide specialized critical care to pediatric patients in a state-of-the-art 14‑bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) Manage over 400 cardiac surgical cases annually in the only congenital heart surgical program in Nevada Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team supporting ECMO and congenital heart catheterization programs Participate in care within a dedicated 24‑bed tertiary Pediatric ICU and newly opened 30‑bed pediatric emergency department Support pediatric and neonatal transport services Contribute to academic activities with University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Medicine residents rotating through the ICU (pediatrics, family medicine, emergency medicine) Ensure adherence to best practices in pediatric cardiac critical care Engage in procedural sedation services as part of the premier children’s service provider in the state Provide leadership and continuity in patient care through a rotating schedule, including on‑call and weekend duties Qualifications
Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Pediatric Critical Care or Pediatric Cardiology with extra year of CICU training Residency within the immediate local area (relocation may be required) Board Eligible within 5 years of residency or Board Certified in Pediatric Critical Care or Pediatric Cardiology with CICU training, or double boarded in Pediatric ICU‑Cardiology (required) No exceptions: Nevada Medical License or eligibility to obtain – required Clean malpractice and medical license history – highly preferred Does provider already live in the area or willing to relocate? – required Does the provider require visa support – J1 or H1B? – required Compensation and Benefits
