Vivo HealthStaff is recruiting for a Psychiatrist for San Fernando Valley clinics within LA County (Santa Clarita, Chatsworth, Reseda, San Fernando, Sylmar). This is a locum tenens position (6 months to 1 year) providing psychiatric services for our client’s community-based mental health program.
Position Summary
The program provides comprehensive mental health services to patients in LA County. Services include assessment, consultation, outpatient and field-based care, crisis intervention, and both individual and group therapy. Assignment Details
Location : Los Angeles County ( Santa Clarita, Chatsworth, Reseda, San Fernando, Sylmar) Setting : Outpatient Schedule : Monday through Friday, business hours (flexible) Duration : Ongoing assignment Compensation : Competitive hourly rate, paid weekly Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing medication management, including prescriptions, renewals, and monitoring for continuity of care. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams and provide consultation to other clinicians regarding co-occurring disorders and client care. Coordinate with referral sources and external agencies to ensure integrated care and appropriate case management. Identify and refer clients with medical issues to appropriate healthcare providers. Provide crisis intervention and supportive counseling when required. Qualifications
Board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist (MD or DO). Active California medical license. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Computer proficiency and timely documentation skills. Vivo HealthStaff offers
