Position Overview As part of our growing U.S. operations, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Controller to join our finance team based in our Georgetown, DC office. The Senior Controller will report directly to the Group CFO and will oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and the development of internal control policies and procedures. This role will also support the implementation of tools, such as Sage Intacct.

This is a full-time, in-person role offering a dynamic environment, opportunities for process improvement, and direct engagement with our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP

Lead the day-to-day operations of the accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting

Ensure timely and accurate closing of financial periods

Determine and analyze projects’ margin to help business and find corrective actions if needed

Elaborate budget and forecasts

Strengthen ties with partners and team to create a business partner relationship

Manage and improve constantly monitoring, processes and systems, including full utilization of QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Salesforce and Concur, implementation of KPIs

Contribute to the successful integration of acquired entities

Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and other regulatory filings

Collaborate with the CFO to elaborate budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial plans

Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable laws and regulations

Provide leadership and mentoring to accounting staff, ensuring high performance and growth. This role will have two direct reports: Accounting Manager and AR/AR Manager

Maintain documentation and support for all accounting processes and financial records

Ideal Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)

10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a controller or senior accounting role

Strong command of QuickBooks (desktop and online), Sage Intacct, and Salesforce

High degree of autonomy, rigor, and analytical skills

Experience in preparing and analyzing financial reports and working with external auditors

Good general knowledge of accounting

Highly proactive, adaptable, and a team player

Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls best practices

High proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
