Sr Manufacturing Engineer, Automation Equipment Base Pay Range $100,000 - $140,000 per year

Job Summary Diamond Foundry Inc. is seeking a hands‑on Equipment Engineer to join our team in Fremont, CA. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of advanced manufacturing equipment—from planning and installation to maintenance and optimization—ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of machinery used in our cutting‑edge diamond production processes.

Responsibilities

Uphold equipment safety standards and regulations. Conduct risk assessments and develop safety procedures to mitigate hazards.

Oversee preventive maintenance; diagnose malfunctions, troubleshoot, and implement solutions to maximize uptime.

Manage installation and commissioning of new equipment—setup, calibration, integration—and identify, design, and implement modifications to improve safety, quality, or efficiency.

Coordinate projects related to equipment upgrades, expansions, or replacements; work with internal teams and external vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Author and review SOPs, technical reports, preventive maintenance plans, and other critical documentation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.

3–5+ years hands‑on experience with manufacturing equipment: maintenance, installation, commissioning, and continuous‑improvement projects.

Proficiency in 3D modeling software and experience with equipment monitoring, data collection, and analysis.

Data‑driven mindset with strong understanding of key manufacturing metrics (e.g., uptime, MTBF, MTTR, yield).

Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.

Physical Requirements

Use appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures.

Typical tasks include sitting, standing, walking, grasping, reaching; lifting below and above shoulders; bending, twisting, balancing, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling; fine finger manipulation; repetitive motions.

Some tasks may require ladders or stairs.

May require driving or use of foot controls.

Lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 lb.
