POSITION: Maui Recovery Project Manager DEPARTMENT: EDS / Maui County SUPERVISOR: Maui County Coordinator STATUS: Non-Exempt / Full time - Contingent on Funding PAY: $24.00 to $28.00 A. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree preferred, however, three years of experience working in social services, with a strong knowledge base of local (Maui) resources, will qualify. The candidate must have a clean driving record and must successfully complete the Decision Driving Safety Test before driving for The Salvation Army and recertify annually as required. He/she must have the ability to do fieldwork in various settings. Experience working in disaster recovery is preferred, and computer proficiency is required. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply. This is a position in the Emergency Disaster Services Department. The position is not to exceed three (3) years, with the option to extend based on workload and funding. B. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage all aspects of the Maui Wildfire Relief Plan, including communication, budgeting, financial reporting, inventory, distribution, site visits, volunteer placement, and collaboration with the Maui County Coordinator and DHQ policy group. Manage mobile support (canteens & service vans) for the program, as needed. Represent The Salvation Army and its mission in all EDS/Maui Recovery matters, following its policies and procedures. Attend all VOAD, LTRG, and community meetings related to Maui recovery. Provide statistical data as required by the program in a timely manner. Process notes and recovery paperwork within established deadlines. Process assistance applications, including collection and verification of client information, qualifying criteria, and progress reports. Assist and manage case managers with client information collection and verification. Provide information and referral services to program participants in need. Perform other disaster-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
