Facility in New Castle, PA seeking Urology locums coverage Rates: $ 24hr call: $4000 (10 hours included) 24hr callback: $350/hr, after 10hrs The 10hrs of gratis includes clinic for 8hrs, and then the 2 additional hours of callback would be after clinic. Any call that occurs within the first 10 hours of the locum s shift is considered gratis. Callback would apply only after the 10-hour threshold is exceeded. Opportunity Highlights
- Consistent Schedule: Provide coverage for one full week per month (Monday - Friday).
- Multi-Site Role: You will work at multiple locations, dedicating one day to one location:
- Outpatient services at UPMC Nesbitt Place Clinic.
- Inpatient and call coverage at UPMC Horizon-Shenango Valley and UPMC Jameson.
- Balanced Workload: Your shift includes clinic hours (8 AM - 4 PM) with an estimated 20-25 patients per day (flexible based on comfort level) and overnight call. Weeknight call is generally light (0-4 calls per night).
- Supportive Team: You will not work solo. APP/Mid-level coverage is available from 8 AM - 4 PM to handle all daytime consults, rounding, and administrative tasks, allowing the locum physician to focus on clinic duties.
- EMR Systems: You will use both Epic and Cerner for charting.
- Privileging: Full privileges are available, with an estimated time of 90 days. The facility will accept candidates who need to obtain a Pennsylvania license.
- Provide full urology coverage for one week per month, encompassing both outpatient and inpatient services.
- Conduct clinic visits during the day (8 AM - 4 PM).
- Take overnight call with a 30-minute response time for both UPMC Jameson and UPMC Horizon.
- Work collaboratively with onsite APPs who manage the majority of inpatient care and rounding during the day.
- Education: MD or DO.
- Board Status: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Licensure: An active Pennsylvania State License is required to apply, but the facility will accept candidates needing to obtain a license.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPR, and DEA are required.
- Commitment: Must be willing to work at all three listed sites.
- The target start date is December 1, 2025. (The actual start date is based on the 3-month credentialing timeline.)
