Overview Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is part of Toyota, delivering innovative solutions and creating a top-tier customer experience. This position is based in Plano, TX. Who We’re Looking For A well-rounded Software Development Engineer II to lead our transformation into agile, cloud-native, service-oriented platforms. This full-stack role involves working with backend and frontend technologies, mentoring junior engineers, and shaping our core systems. Key Responsibilities Include: Develop scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and the Spring Framework. Build responsive UI components using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript. Design and implement microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven components following layered and client-server architecture patterns. Deliver cloud solutions using AWS SDK, S3, DocumentDB, Aurora, and Amazon MSK. Deploy containerized applications to Amazon EKS using Docker, with CI/CD support via Jenkins and Artifactory. Write tests using JUnit, Mockito, Ready API, Postman, and Selenium to ensure quality. Work with NoSQL databases, implement caching strategies, and manage builds with Maven and GitHub. Document and test APIs using Swagger, participate in reviews, architecture sessions, and support efforts. Champion best practices in DevOps, code quality, and scalable design. What You Bring 5+ years of professional software development experience. Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development. Experience with AWS services including EKS, S3, MSK, DocumentDB, and ElastiCache. Strong background in microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native design. Experience with NoSQL databases, caching, and real-time streaming. Hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Artifactory), and Git. Experience with testing tools like JUnit, Mockito, and API testing tools. Bonus if you have Experience with Amazon Corretto, Netty, Tomcat, or embedded servers. Familiarity with Amazon MSK and API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI. Experience with Ready API and service-level test automation.
