We are building our team of Interior Designers in Houston and surrounding areas to provide modern, in-person, and virtual design services. We seek experienced Interior Designers eager to grow their businesses and work with clients both virtually and in-person.
As a Designer on the Havenly platform, you'll access our technology and support services (scheduling, ordering, invoicing, vendor management) to focus on exceeding client expectations with excellent designs and a great experience.
This is a freelance Interior Designer position working locally in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Houston-area clients through virtual and in-home meetings to understand their design preferences, needs, and budget.
Lead the design process, including developing mood boards, design concepts, floor plans, and 3D renderings.
Source furniture and decor on Havenly's platform for client checkout from various vendors.
Build strong client relationships to encourage repeat and referral business.
Qualifications:
A degree in Interior Design from an accredited program is preferred.
3+ years of experience as an interior designer with your own clients, in-person and/or virtual.
Confident, knowledgeable communication style to engage clients professionally.
Comfortable using online technologies for concept boards, 3D renderings, floor plans, and presentations; adaptable to new technologies.
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or Canva, including layering images and using features like background removal.
Passion, drive, and knowledge to produce creative results.
Small business mindset to manage projects and convert designs into sales.
Good product knowledge across vendors and categories for sourcing furnishings and decor.
Reliable transportation, a computer with video conferencing capabilities, and current Photoshop or Canva account.
Additional Details:
This is a freelance contract role for Houston-based interior designers.
Must have a personal computer with up-to-date macOS Big Sur or Windows 10/11.
Compensation includes pay per project, commission, and bonuses.
Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the US.
