Position Overview: The Medical Assistant (MA) position at CARE Plastic Surgery position will work a combination of front and back office. This position will assist with clinical duties like preparing exam/treatment rooms, taking vital signs, and assisting in consultation and post-operative appointments, and delivering select treatments/services, as well as clerical duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments. The MA position is a member of the clinical team and will play a supportive role in the delivery of our award-winning, white-glove patient care. This role will directly interact and work with other Patient Experience team members, nurses, aestheticians, and our double board-certified plastic surgeon. We will give preference to candidates with previous medical experience, phlebotomy certification, and/or experience in the cosmetic industry.

Key Responsibilities: Performs responsibilities in a manner that promotes highest patient/client care, white glove service and customer satisfaction. Organizes and plans for patient appointments by organizing clinic schedules, test results, etc. Rooms patients while documenting reason for visit, vital signs, medication list, allergies, surgical history, etc. Serves as a medical scribe and maintains clear and accurate recordkeeping when assisting in appointments. Performs B-12 injections, blood draws, specimen collections, equipment cleaning/reprocessing, and other requested procedures and sterilization operations. Prepares and stocks rooms (daily/weekly) with clinic supplies in advance of clinic visit, as well as cleaning rooms appropriately between patients. Prepares for and assists with both routine and specialty procedures. Ensures a pleasant waiting room experience, maintain cleanliness in all patient-facing areas, and help perform check-in/check-out processes. Schedules appointments in person, online, by text, or phone call, optimizing provider time and treatment room utilization. Assists with patient referrals and clerical duties, such as scanning and faxing. Assists in phone messaging and in person screening in a professional manner with appropriate follow up. Maintains privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Passion for the aesthetic industry Knowledge of current MedSpa and plastic surgery services and skincare products preferred Teamwork-oriented with ability to collaborate effectively Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and sensitivity Strong technology proficiency and willingness to learn new platforms and applications. Prior experience with Electronic Medical Record systems is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits The typical base pay ranges between $19-25/hour, with opportunity for performance-based bonuses. We provide a comprehensive suite of benefits, including paid vacation, medical, life, dental and vision insurance, and a 401K plan.
