Position Summary We are looking for an experienced Travel Biomedical Equipment Technician II (BMET II) to provide support across various hospital locations throughout Philadelphia. The successful candidate will possess a solid foundation in medical equipment repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance, with the flexibility to adapt to different clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities Perform both scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and unscheduled corrective maintenance (CM) on a wide range of biomedical and patient care equipment. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex medical devices in alignment with manufacturer guidelines and regulatory requirements (e.g., The Joint Commission, NFPA 99, CMS). Accurately document all service activities within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Assist with equipment installations, system upgrades, and various project-based initiatives at client sites. Work collaboratively with clinical staff and vendors to promptly resolve equipment-related issues. Stay current with OEM service procedures, safety regulations, and relevant software updates. Offer on-site technical support and mentorship to junior BMETs or other support personnel. Travel 80100% of the time to fulfill project requirements and provide regional service coverage. Qualifications Required: Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or a closely related technical discipline. 35 years of practical experience as a BMET. Proven ability to service a wide variety of general biomedical equipment (such as infusion pumps, defibrillators, monitors, electrosurgical units, sterilizers). Knowledge in networking and medical device connectivity. Valid drivers license and willingness to travel extensively. Preferred: OEM certifications or specialized training on specific medical devices. Experience supporting multi-site healthcare systems or working in field service roles. CBET certification (AAMI) is strongly preferred. Knowledge on CMMS platforms (such as Nuvolo, Four Rivers, TMS).
