About the Company
We are a Traumatic Brain Injury Center with offices in Elmhurst, Brooklyn Heights, and Manhattan. We are offering a full-time position in Brooklyn Heights with an extremely attractive salary and benefits package that includes Medical Insurance, 401K savings plan with matching contributions, paid time off, vacation, holidays, working from Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, to a New York State licensed Physician - Neurologist to join our multidisciplinary traumatic brain injury (TBI) practice. Our clinic serves TBI survivors amid an ethnically and linguistically diverse, multi-cultural population of principally essential workers. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled
Neurologist with interest or expertise in Brain Injury Medicine
to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing, treating, and managing disorders of the nervous system, with a focus on
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), concussions, PCS, and other acquired brain injuries . The neurologist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care, implement treatment plans, and advance patient recovery through evidence-based neurological care. Key Responsibilities: Neurological Diagnosis & Treatment: Evaluate and diagnose patients with neurological disorders. Brain Injury & TBI Management: Diagnose and manage
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), concussions, anoxic brain injuries, and other acquired brain injuries . Assess cognitive, motor, and sensory impairments related to brain injuries and develop individualized rehabilitation plans. Collaborate with
psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, neuro-optometrists, and other providers to
optimize patient recovery. Prescribe and oversee treatments for
post-concussion syndrome, headaches, movement disorders, spasticity, and neurobehavioral complications
associated with brain injuries. Utilize neuroimaging and neurophysiological studies to monitor brain injury progression and recovery. Recommend and manage pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, including
botulinum toxin injections for spasticity
and cognitive rehabilitation therapies. Provide
return-to-play and return-to-work evaluations
for athletes, military personnel, and professionals recovering from concussions and brain injuries. Patient Education & Support: Educate patients and caregivers on the impact of brain injuries, expected recovery timelines, and treatment options. Provide counseling on lifestyle modifications, neurological rehabilitation strategies, and preventive care for secondary injuries. Collaborative & Research Efforts: Work closely with
neurosurgeons, physiatrists, sports medicine specialists, and pain management teams
for comprehensive patient care. Participate in
clinical research, clinical trials, and advancements in neurorehabilitation
for brain injury medicine. Stay updated with the latest
TBI treatment protocols, concussion guidelines, and neuroprotective strategies . Qualifications & Requirements: Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology. Fellowship training or certification in
Brain Injury Medicine, Neurorehabilitation, or Sports Neurology (preferred but not required). Valid and unrestricted New York state medical license. Strong diagnostic and treatment skills in both general neurology and brain injury-related conditions. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary setting with rehabilitation specialists. Excellent communication and patient-care skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in TBI rehabilitation and neurorehabilitation settings. Background in
military, sports, or occupational medicine related to TBI. Research experience in
