ER, EMERGENCY ROOM PHYSICIAN - RIVER OAKS HOSPITAL & CLINICS (Houston)

JOB SUMMARY
In this role the ER doctor will ensure that incoming patients are stabilized, with no immediate dangers caused by their current conditions. The Incumbent will perform various tests and follow-ups so that each treatment is effective.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive emergency care to patients in a fast-paced environment. This role requires quick decision-making abilities, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Mitigate and treat injuries and illnesses. Assess and treat patients with acute medical conditions and injuries in the emergency department. Perform necessary procedures, including IV infusions, cardiac catheterization, and other emergency interventions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Conduct diagnostic tests and interpret medical imaging results to guide treatment plans. Provide urgent care for patients requiring immediate attention. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Educate patients and their families about health management and preventive care. Coordinate medical referrals and admissions. Monitor and arrange patient disposition and evacuation. Ensure proper injury care, disease diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Maintain current certifications and licenses. Participate in on-call rotations if required.
REQUIREMENTS Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine with ER experience, Internal Medicine with ER experience Medical degree from an accredited medical institution or program Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician DEA License required At least 3 years in a residency program License to practice medicine Minimum 5 years of experience as a Physician, preferably in an acute care or free standing ER. Current and unrestricted license from any US State, District of Columbia, or US Territory. Deep knowledge of current medical practices, procedures, and equipment ATLS, ACLS, PALS, BLS thru American Heart Association
EDUCATION Medical degree from an accredited medical institution or program
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE License to practice medicine Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician ATLS, ACLS, PALS, BLS thru American Heart Association DEA License required.
