Dental Assistant (EFDA)

LOCATION:
Portland, OR SALARY : $25 - $30/hr. SCHEDULE:
Full-time, Mon-Fri
|
Mon, Thurs: 8 am-5 pm | Tues, Wed: 7 am-4 pm | Fri: 8 am-4 pm
YKEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the dentist during procedures, performing chairside support and anticipating needs. Perform expanded functions including placing fillings, taking impressions, and applying sealants and fluoride. Take and process dental x-rays while maintaining proper infection control and sterilization protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide clear post-treatment instructions. Maintain accurate patient records, charts, and documentation in the dental software system. Manage operatory setup, instrument sterilization, and inventory of dental materials and supplies.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR: Completion of a state-approved dental assistant program and valid EFDA certification/license per Oregon regulations. Current Radiology/X-ray and CPR/BLS certifications. 13 years of hands-on clinical dental assisting experience Proficiency in dental terminology, materials, instruments, and familiarity with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix).
