We are a fast-paced and growing construction company seeking an experienced
Construction Estimator
to join our team. This role is essential to our operations, providing accurate and competitive estimates for projects across the United States.
Position Overview The
Construction Estimator
will be responsible for all aspects of construction estimating, including cost analysis, bid preparation, and project scheduling. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working under strict deadlines. Key Responsibilities Attend pre-bid job walks to assess project scope and site conditions. Review project documents, specifications, and plans to ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements. Prepare comprehensive project estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment costs. Issue
Requests for Information (RFIs)
throughout the bid process to clarify project details. Submit competitive bids and follow up on project opportunities. Assist with project management duties, including construction scheduling and work plan generation. Utilize software tools such as
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and HeavyBid
to create detailed cost estimates and schedules. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Qualifications & Experience Required: Minimum
5 years
of experience in
federal construction estimating . Strong proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
and
Microsoft Project . Valid
drivers license
and ability to travel for site visits. Preferred: Experience in
construction management
(minimum 3 years). Experience with
Primavera P6
software. Familiarity with
HeavyBid estimating software
(training available if needed). Compensation & Benefits We offer a
